Dana Fritz, an Associate Professor in the Department of Art & Art History, joined the UNL faculty and Visual Literacy Program in 1998. Among other honors, she is a recipient of several juror's awards, an Arizona Commission on the Arts Fellowship, an Impact Grant from the Nebraska and Lincoln Arts Councils and was selected for a Rotary Foundation Group Study Exchange to Japan. Her work has been supported by artist residencies at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, CA and Château de Rochefort-en-Terre in Brittany, France as well as numerous UNL research grants. Her photographic work is widely exhibited and collected and focuses on the intersection of nature and culture in gardens.
